World History, Grade 6 & 7
We completed a unit on ancient Mesopotamia and are analyzing some of the world’s first empires by comparing and contrasting their methods of government. Students are also analyzing primary sources from the time period and learning how to differentiate sources and verify credibility. Specifically, we are looking at some Assyrian monuments and comparing them to historical accounts in the Hebrew Bible.
U.S. History, Grade 8
We finished a unit on the founding of the original 13 colonies and will learn how the colonies began to work together to create a new country. We’ll start by analyzing the causes and effects of the French and Indian War.
