San Francisco High School of the Arts Expands to Elementary Education (ASASF)

San Francisco Arts and Science Academy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Francisco, CA – February 20, 2025 – San Francisco High School of the Arts (HSArts) is proud to announce the launch of San Francisco Arts and Science Academy (ASASF), an innovative elementary school opening in fall 2025. ASA will begin with a K-2 lower school at the Star of the Sea campus (350 9th Ave) in the Inner Richmond neighborhood, operating separately from the current HSArts location.

Building on the proven success of HSArts’ renowned middle and high school programs, ASA will offer a bilingual English and Chinese curriculum with a strong emphasis on arts, language, math, and science. By introducing a rigorous, high-quality education at an earlier stage, ASA empowers young learners to develop strong academic foundations, critical thinking skills, and creative expression—preparing them for lifelong success.

With a dynamic blend of hands-on learning and academic excellence, ASA fosters creativity, intellectual curiosity, and a love of learning. Our curriculum is rooted in universal values such as kindness, honesty, and respect, integrating daily reading, thematic exploration, and practical life skills to nurture both character and knowledge.

ASA is dedicated to shaping confident, compassionate, and independent learners who are ready to thrive in an ever-evolving world. We invite families to join us in inspiring a passion for learning and achievement from the very beginning.
